A subscriber Identity Module (SIM) or SIM card holds a very important data called: the “International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI)” number, and the authentication key which validates the IMSI. SIM cards allow mobile devices to be connected to the network from any location as long as they are within a covered range of provided radio wave frequencies. This could be a ground base station or satellite.
